Free Polyphonic Ringtones

Free Polyphonic ringtones are the next step up from the simple ringtones that were first available. They come in midi or mmf format.
To create FREE Polyphonic Ring tones is not really about mobile phones technology but rather its music composition.
When the tones are created you can’t just take a short section of the MP3 tune, run it through a file conversion process and except to come up with a half decent tune – contrary to popular belief!!
Many limitations to composing ringtones exist. Firstly, there are frequency limitations.
You need to understand the polyphony level and the general register of the device available on each handset.
An example would be the Nokia 7210 and 3510 handsets which both support four simultaneous tones – this is called Polyphony level 4. However the Nokia 7650 can have 24 simultaneous tones and thus called – Polyphony level of 24.
